Easy to do, but plan to do it AGAIN!
Installation of this part is pretty easy. The problem is that this component is a piece of garbage. It is not that the replacement from Sears in anymore garbage than the original. The component is poorly made and opening the dishwasher eventually will break the seams on this component. And then in turn, it will cause stress on the entire control panel and break it. The whole fix is then nearly $200 each time. This has happened twice to me already on this Maytag dishwasher. After the last break, I temporarily fixed this part with JB Weld plastic and it held well. I suggest, on installation of this new component that you put JB Weld plastic on the hidden seams. This I believe will keep the component from breaking again. I wish I had taken a picture, but you will know where to put the liquid plastic when you see the old broken component.

Easy to install!!!
Took about 30 minutes to install this and the new from panel. The only problem one might have is that the screws are torx head. Be prepared.
