Leaking around Float Switch

My Kenmore Elite dishwasher model # 665.1277K311 was leaking around the float switch. I ordered and installed the following parts: Dishwasher Float Switch Base (Old part was #10195053 New part #10973429), Dishwasher Float Switch Base gasket (8531743) and Dishwasher Float Switch Base lock nut (W10195038). It is no longer leaking. The new base was different than the old one in the area where the wiring plugs into the limit switch but seemed to be OK. The only issue I had was it is not clear from the diagram if the gasket goes inside or below the tub. I asked when I ordered the part and was told it goes below the tub but that there would be instructions with the part that would help me. I did not get any instructions.
