Perfect fit
Only problem is the elec prongs were bent up. Had to realign them before plug would fit. Better packaging would help.

Not happy.
The motor was bad when I got it, had to shipped it back to sears. Now I find out they don't have another motor at this time.

Quick n easy
Simple to do. Lots of vids to help. Took a bit of ingenuity to get the support clips back on motor but aside from that..all else was beautiful.

It was super easy to install
As with most Kenmore appliances which are well designed and durable, it really did only take 15 minutes to install instead of the 'most of the day' tedium we anticipated. I love my old school washer which I control and make the choices for, so we took a chance on replacing the motor and it worked. Yay! I would advise going online for any repair like this and getting the actual diagrams and manuals for the machine on which you are working; saves on the possibility of unnecessary surprises once you get into the guts of the thing. This one was easy but it did help to have familiarity with the machine. I intensely dislike the idea that some computer chip needs to be in my appliance. The new machines take way longer to do the job and it is insulting to assume I don't have the mental RAM myself to choose the amount of water needed for the load. I like doing my laundry and it isn't as if the micro seconds I might save in a week of not thinking about water levels is going to result in a cancer cure. This model is industrial, effective, repairable, and I love it.
