Drawer is not closed properly

Check / Repair

Close the drawer completely and start the cycle. If the drawer closes properly, unplug the washer and check the wire harness connections between the electronic control board and the drawer switch. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the drawer switch.

Lid is not closed properly

Check / Repair

Open the drawer and make sure the lid latch is free of clothing or other obstructions. Close the lid, shut the drawer and start the cycle. If the error code appears when the lid closes properly, unplug the washer and check the wire harness connections between the electronic control board and the lid switch. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the lid switch.

Slow fill

Check / Repair

Make sure the water supply faucets behind the washer are fully open. Check the water fill lines for kinks. Shut off the water supply and check the water inlet screens for clogs. Replace the water inlet valve assembly if you find the water inlet screens clogged. Unplug the washer and check the wire harness connections between the water inlet valves and the electronic control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the valves don't open when activated, replace the water inlet valve assembly.

Drains slowly

Check / Repair

Check the washer drain for a clog. Check the drain hose for a kink or restriction. Unplug the washer and check the wire harness connection between the electronic control board and the drain pump. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the drain pump doesn't run when activated, replace it.

Unbalanced load

Check / Repair

Redistribute the load inside the basket and restart the cycle. If the load is too small, it cannot be balanced. Add more garments to the load. Check the load to see if it's tangled. Heavy items mixed with light ones may not be able to balance properly. Remove some items if necessary. Unplug the washer and check the dampers that suspend the washer inside the drawer. Replace all 4 dampers if you find one or more damaged.

Water level is too high

Check / Repair

Unplug the washer and see if the water level increases. If it does, then a water inlet valve is stuck open. Shut off the water supply and replace the water inlet valve assembly.

Check / Repair

Unplug the washer and check the wire harness connections between the water level sensor and the electronic control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the water level sensor.

Locked drive motor

Check / Repair

Unplug the washer and check the wire harness connections between the drive motor and the electronic control board. Also, check the wire harness connections between the motor tachometer and the electronic control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace any damaged wire harness. Remove the motor rotor and check the rotor magnets for damage. Replace the rotor if you find damaged magnets. If the wire connections and rotor are okay, replace the motor tachometer. If the problem continues, replace the drive motor.

Time to run the Tub Clean cycle

Check / Repair

Empty the tub. Mix 1/4 cup of bleach with 1 quart of water and add the solution to the tub. Start the Tub Clean cycle. To skip the Tub Clean cycle when alerted, press one of the cycle selector buttons and start a wash cycle. The message will remain for a few more wash cycles, but then disappears until the next scheduled tub clean alert.

Stacking switch error

Check / Repair

The pedestal washer will not operate as a standalone unit. It must be stacked under a full-size, compatible LG laundry appliance. The stacking switch won't operate if the pedestal washer is stacked under a non-LG appliance or an LG laundry appliance manufactured before 2009. If the pedestal washer is properly stacked under a compatible LG laundry appliance, then the stacking switch could be disconnected or defective. Unplug the pedestal washer and check the wire harness connections between the stacking switch and the electronic control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the stacking switch.
