Replacing the water filter in your LG fridge is an essential maintenance task that shouldn’t be overlooked. LG refrigerator water filters remove residue and impurities from water that can affect the water’s taste, smell and healthfulness. To ensure your LG water filter can trap all the impurities and contaminants, replace the filter every 6 months.

You’ll find the LG water filter in the top left or right corner of the refrigerator compartment of many refrigerators (whether you have a French-door, side-by-side or top-mount refrigerator). The LG LT800P water filter is located behind a left-side door bin in some French-door fridges.

Read on to find out how to replace the water filter in your LG refrigerator.
