Remington space heaters deliver the heat you need to keep rooms warm during harsh winter months. When you notice that your Remington space heater isn't working as it should, depend on Sears PartsDirect to have the repair parts you need to fix the problem.

Replacing the fan motor in a Remington space heater

  • Unplug the space heater to disconnect electrical power. Wear work gloves to protect your hands during the repair.
  • Remove the fan cover mounting screws and pull the fan cover off.
  • Disconnect the fan motor wiring harness.
  • Remove the fan mounting screws and pull the fan out. Remove the fan blade from the motor shaft.
  • Install the fan blade on the new fan motor and mount the fan in the fan housing. Connect the fan wire harness to the fan motor.
  • Reinstall the fan cover and plug the fan power cord back into the electrical outlet to restore power to the fan.

Remington space heater common replacement parts

  • Control thermostat. The control thermostat senses room temperature and cycles the heater on and off to maintain the set temperature in the room.
  • Power cord. The power cord supplies electrical current to the heater switch and other electrical components in the heater.
  • Fan motor. The fan motor spins the fan blade to circulate hot air through the room.
  • Power switch. The power switch turns the heater on and off and supplies electrical current to the thermostat to control heating.
