Common Craftsman automotive equipment replacement parts

  • Engine analyzer cable. The cable connects the engine analyzer to the battery and ignition coil.
  • Battery tester leads. The battery tester leads connect to the battery terminals during testing.
  • Winch remote control switch. The remote control switch allows you to control the winch when standing at a distance from the vehicle.
  • Winch drive shaft bearing. The shaft bearing supports the motor drive shaft while allowing the shaft to spin.

Troubleshooting your Craftsman automotive winch when it won't run

  • Check for power. Make sure that you vehicle's electrical system is sending power to the winch. Check for a blown fuse in the vehicle's fuse box if the winch isn't getting power.
  • Shut off electrical power to the winch and check the wiring between the activation switch and winch motor. Reconnect any loose wires and repair any broken wires.
  • Check the winch motor. See if the winch drive shaft spins freely. If the shaft is bound up, you'll likely need to replace the motor.
