Additional Information

The Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly WPW10300022 is a complete unit that includes the ice mold and the control device. It is designed to replace a non-functional or poorly functioning ice maker in your refrigerator. Common issues that this part resolves include ice makers that no longer produce ice, produce very small or misshapen ice, or leak water into the ice bin, causing a clump of ice.

Installation typically involves removing the ice maker cover, disconnecting the wiring harness, removing a few screws, and lifting the old unit out. The new unit is then placed into the compartment, screws are re-inserted, and the wiring harness is reconnected. Finally, the cover is replaced, and the refrigerator is restored to power. After installation, it's usually recommended to discard the first few batches of ice to ensure that any impurities from manufacturing are removed.

When replacing your ice maker, it's important to ensure that the refrigerator is unplugged and that water flow to the ice maker has been shut off before beginning the work. Double-check compatibility with your refrigerator model to ensure that the WPW10300022 is the correct replacement part.
