Choose this manufacturer-approved drive control assembly for your walk-behind lawn mower.

This drive control assembly for a gas-powered self-propelled walk-behind lawn mower mounts onto the top of the handle. Engaging the assembly switches the mower into self-propel mode.

The drive control cable (PartsDirect part no. 196577) should be replaced at the same time as the drive control assembly.

When removing the old cable, make note of how and where the cable is routed and attached so you can install the replacement cable in the same way.
