Definitely solved the problem.
The troubleshooting flow chart provided with my GE microwave identified the printed circuit board as the part that failed and required replacement. I ordered the board from Sears Parts Direct, confident in their reputation. Installation was rather easy, but I recommend taking a photo or photos of the failed part connections before removal since there are multiple plug connections to the board. I also recommend taking your time to avoid damage to the new board. This part was understandably expensive, but replacement was less expensive than buying a new microwave. That would also have required cabinet modification to accommodate the replacement model which is somewhat larger and appears to be out of stock with many local appliance stores. I am happy with the result.

A Perfect Fit
Easy to install but part has some assembly problem that did not work after installation. Wanted to RMA but a quick inspection of the part found poor soldering under the main relay that has caused the relay malfunction. Re-soldered the relays and the part works like it is intended to.
