Craftsman Lawn Tractor hood replacement.

This product came sooner than was promised which was a welcomed surprise. It proved to be the correct part. I purchased this part as my tune up contractor had damaged my tractor during the process of returning it to my home after annual servicing. I took pictures of the initial installation before dismantling it so I could refer to the pictures later if I had questions or had a senior moment! The dismantle went smoothly although holding the hood while removing it from the tractor ( and installing the new one to the frame again) is helpful if you have a second person to hold the hood while you unscrew it from the frame. I stripped off all the trim parts from the old hood and reinstalled them on the new hood. All fit just fine. Took the time to remove the headlight lenses and clean them well. The whole process took me about two hours start to finish ( I needed the pictures to remember how to install the fan guard). The tractor now looks like brand new. Cost a lot less to do myself than have someone else do the work.

Lawn Tractor Hood

Hood came in big enough box to keep it from bending. I took a few photos of the original assembly before taking it off so I could visually look and match the new hood with the original hood assembled. It makes it easier if you do this with someone to help you hold the new hood in place while you screw and tight the tractor's hood parts to it, place the new hood on a soft surface or the box it came with so you don't scratch the new hood paint.
