These manufacturer-approved split lock washers (part number 850263) for some walk-behind lawn mowers, including Craftsman mower model 917375020, secure the blade bolt to the blade adapter.

These replacement split lock washers come 8 to a pack. When making a repair involving the blade bolt, torque the bolt to between 35 and 45 foot-pounds.
