Old wheel hard to remove; new wheel easy to put on
December 27, 2019

Wheel fitted perfectly. I had to crack the old one off with plyers then use a Dremel cut-wheel to cut slots in the nut that was too tight to remove. There are a couple of You-Tube videos out there to show you how to replace this wheel. But none showed me how to remove the nut that was fused to the shaft. That's where the Dremel came in handy. By cutting two slots in the nut opposite each other and in line with the shaft I was able to pry off the nut with a flathead screwdriver (being careful not to disturb the threads on the shaft). The new wheel screwed on eaisly. I did this without removing the drum as shown in some how to videos.

It only took a few minutes to install. Just remember that it's left hand threaded!
