The only tool needed was a putty knife. UNPLUG THE REFRIGERATOR!! The ice maker switch panel is peel and stick. Use the putty knife to pry the panel off starting from the bottom. The trim ring is next. It is snap fit. Start by sliding the putty knife under the trim from thee top. Gently pry the trim until the first connector pops out. Continue around the trim until you can pull it far enough forward to access the two electrical connections. Unplug the old one and plug in the new one. Put it all back together. Plug the frigerator back in.
