Different method
Instead of installing it on a tractor, I attached it to the end of a 1/2" x 72" steel pipe, to make a manual core aerator spear for my small yard. I connected it to the pipe with 1/2" x 12" threaded steel rod, using duct tape around the rod to make it snug within the pipe, and duct tape around the connection.

Negative Return Policy
As soon as parts arrived, there was an obvious concern that the tines were wrong. Once replacement was attempted, it became obvious the new tines would not fit. An attempt to return revealed that Parts Direct flags part as non-returnable. Err! I'll never buy another Craftsman piece of equipment.
