An Experience Worth Repeating
I moved into a home with a Craftsman mower left in the garage. The mower required a new deck belt. I called Sears for the replacement part. Based on my address, they were able to tell me when the mower was purchased and exactly which model of belt I needed. What a surprise! My friend, who is experienced with mowers, was able to put the belt on without any trouble. We are pleased with the results!

Blade belt installation
Took me approx 30 minutes total with no special tools. And I am slow to begin with. Rolled the mower onto some ramps and took my time.

Exact fit and easy to install
Easy to install and only took 10 minutes. Belt diagram is on the back of the Craftsman MTS 5500 mower deck.

Fast Delivery
First time changing this belt. Only took 10 minutes (once the deck was removed.... that took 10-15 minutes). Only had to take out 4 screws which allowed removing the 2 outer pulley covers. Then just took off the old belt and placed the new belt on. No tension issues or pinch points. Surprisingly simple! Great opportunity to clean-up the deck and check the blades for sharpness.
