Rare Thermadore Electric Cooktop Medallion

Parts for a 1975 Thermadore cooktop are extremey rare. Sears had 4 of these ceramic medallions available but they did not fit the opening in the center of the burner housing. This was not the fault of Sears. The ceramic coating was not to the specification of the original medallions, making them slightly thicker. I hesitated in returning them and decided to grind down the edges of the housing until the medallion fit. The cooktop now looks great at a fraction of cost of replacing it.
