problem diagnosed incorrectly.

ice cube maker froze up. described the problem in detail with the chat person who inturn described it to tech support. tech support said, the ONLY thing it could be was a water inlet valve and that it's a self install part. ordered it, about $90, received part, NO directions to install. however, while waiting for the part, i decided to try to thaw out the ice cube maker. did so with a hair dryer, PROBLEM FIXED. thawing was not suggested to me. needless to say, i didnt install the part but, this site will not allow me to continue without rating ease of install and how long it took. this ranks right up there with: when my appliances were still under under warrantee. about 14 months ago i called for service and, was provided a FOUR hour window for the tech to show. 90 minutes after the 4 hours was up i had to leave the house. when i returned home, there was a note on my front door from the sears tech that, he was here, i wasnt... the time on the note,? 2 hours after the 4 hour window had expired. i received NO CALL from sears that he'd be late. the note was worded such that it was MY fault the appointment was missed.
