UNACCEPTABLE FITTMENT ISSUES
Being that our refer / freezer is only 3 yrs. old, I was surprised to find out that the ice maker we received was a substitute P.N. as the original was discontinued. The over all look of the unit was similar in appearance, but had significant differences in fitment. 1st, the wire harness plug to the unit did not fit. 2nd, a sensor that is attached to the original unit has no place to attach. 3rd, it did not come with the ice level arm and the old one would not fit. Ironically, I could have ordered through Amazon for $60.00 less, chose not to so that I would not have any fitment issues and ended up with them anyways. Returned unit today for refund. On the positive side, I did receive the part promptly and the parts and customer service persons I spoke with were very professional and helpful
