Not too difficult to install if your handy
Did this repair for customer . The new Kenmore refrigerators that start with the ' 111. ' model numbers are notorious for this refrigerator fan motor going out . Symptoms will be freezer working fine , but not the refrigerator compartment. Inside the freezer compartment there are two fans . One for the freezer, second fan on left side is the refrigerator fan motor that is the one that goes bad .

Make sure you get the right part!
This evaporator fan, 30120-0030100-00, ordered as directed by the Sears repairman, did not match the original evaporator fan. The new part that came had three wires: 1 red, 1 black, 1 yellow. The original evaporator fan motor had 2 wires: 1 black, 1 red. However, fridge seems to be working not using the yellow wire. DIY install not difficult. The top drop down part must come off and side rail to get the door to the evaporator fan off and out of the way. 3 stars only because I would have liked the original 2 wire fan and not the 3 wire fan.

Electronic Control Board- poor shipping method
Arrived in a cardboard box w/o any ESD packaging or foam- could see scratches into the cardboard from the electronic components on the board sliding inside. Fortunately the control board functioned- installation straightforward removing 4 screws from the panel located on the back of the refrigerator. Would recommend taking a picture of wire connections prior to removing the defective board. There are quite a number of connectors to remove and reinstall onto the new board.

a few disappointments
website has been down for ordering parts and I was told by one customer rep that parts will take two weeks to arrive and from a different one, that standard shipping was still accurate. Also I was convinced to sign up for Sears Plus and all the numbers given have never lead me to be able to talk to someone about this program....too many unorganized systems seem to be in place with Sears Parts. I am dissuaded from wanting to order parts again and I do want to cancel my Sears Plus membership since it seems non existent yet I paid for it.

Arrived 4 months later
I called to cancel the order as it was 3 months late. They didn't cancel it and it arrived 4 months after I ordered it. I don't know how it works, because I had to get a new refrigerator. I couldn't go 4 months without one.
