Right Part to fix the problem
Sear site was easy to navigate and had the necessary data to find the correct part. Their price was better than the other sites I reviewed. Checkout was easy and efficient. The part arrived within 1 day of the projected delivery. It was the exact correct replacement. I will definitely utilize Sears again if the need arrives.

Super easy to install, practically foolproof
You have to struggle with removing the door front panel and putting it back on, but beyond that, actually replacing this control module is a snap! All the connectors are keyed so they can't be plugged incorrectly, as well as being color coded, etc. One other reviewer said "a baby could do it". The trick with the door is to see how the door panel flange on the sides needs to drop in a little bit, near the bottom. You have to slide it over a flange on the door, but it's just the last screw hole that is involved. All the other screws just mate up straight away no problem. Just be sure to have your Torx 15 driver handy! (Makes the work so much easier than Phillips or straight).

No brainier installation
The most difficult thing was: Having a torx driver vs a common screwdriver. Learning the dishwasher trouble codes. Unfortunately, the trouble codes pointed to this controller and/or the washer pump motor in my case. I replaced the control board first because I hoped it would solve the problem, and I did not want tor remove the dishwasher to replace the slump assembly that includes the washer pump. As it turned out, the old control board was not the problem. And to be honest, the slump was easier to replace. The Sears online videos show the slump assembly replacement requiring dishwasher removal. Whereas their service manual does not, which was the case. The control board assembly has lots of wires and connectors. All are color coded. A baby could do this replacement. Just removed the top screws on the upper part of the door, after that everything just snaps together. Takes a little finger strength, but not much else.

Dishwasher parts installation went well
Seems like the new control board was the key to fixing our KitchenAid dishwasher. We paid a lot of money for it to get a really quiet one and it has worked flawlessly for years. I bought and installed the new control board and it is back to normal operation.

Fairly easy to install
Took about 30 minutes to install as I took the opportunity to clean and tighten hardware (door handle) while I had the front cover off.
