Simple easy part replacement
Really appreciated the guidance I received. I was informed that the surface light remaining on was an indication of a burnt-out element. The part arrived quickly & the replacement part took all of 20 minutes to complete.

Unable to install
Unable to install. Our range is a slide-in model with front controls. The instructions linked by the Sears Direct agent were only for standard ranges with controls on the back panel. We were unable to lift the cooktop, so the replacement part sits waiting on the counter.

Installed in five minutes
Suspend new burner near old burner with twist ties and move each lead one at a time to insure correct wiring. Then use pliers to bend out tabs just enough, and snap new burner into place. Problem could also be switch.
