Sears Craftsman lawn mower had defective motor
Had to buy a new motor because the one that came with the lawn mower had a missing fan that was supposed to keep the motor cool . informed Sears Craftsman lawn mower service and they said no warranty tuff luck. Buy a new motor. No what your buying and hope all the parts are there.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
New Updated Engine. Why only 19hp?
R and R new engine assembly. Didn't take but a couple of hours. Engine mount holes had to be tapped. Make sure to check the oil and fill to the proper level BEFORE STARTING.

I had no problems installing the engine.
I removed and replaced a blown engine on my riding mower. The whole process took an hour with no difficulties.

Why not include Mounting Bolts
Was told but is not an exact replacement for mower model I gave. Was able to install but some hookups were different and needed a better instruction manual to explain the how tos and differences. ALSO Mounting Bolts NOT included and the old mounting bolts would not fit or work. Couldn't find mounting bolts anywhere (Parts direct doesn't even have) so had to improvise with smaller bolt and nut to hold down. Engine does work good when finally competed installation.

Craftsman Man
Says wud take a professional do 1-1/2 hour to do the job. Took me 1 hour using all manual mechanic tools. If had power it probably wud take me 45 mins. First study between engines before start.

Not hard but then I was a helicopter crew chief.
Removed old engine installed new engine made all connections would have preferred replacing the 20 BHP with a bigger engine not a 19 BHP
