The perfect fit
The product was simple to choose from the three mower diagrams offered. It came on time and was installed by a friend without much hassle. This particular part was essential for the self-propelled portion of my mower and if you saw my lawn shape and grade, you'd know that without it I'd grow older than I am, quickly:-)

Was the part I needed.
It was nice to replace just the gear instead of the entire transmission.... or worse, the entire lawnmower. I'm glad Sears direct keeps these parts available and it's a reason I always like shopping at sears... I like to repair stuff I paid for rather than buy it all over again and replace it and Sears has always made it easy for me to get replacement parts. This part probably isn't for your regular do it yourselfer... but people with decent mechanical experience can accomplish the repair... otherwise order the whole transmission. My complaint is that I paid twelve dollars to ship a tiny part and get it scheduled to be delivered friday.... it didn't show up until tuesday.... i paid extra so my yard could be mowed and instead I still had to wait too long.
