Transmission for front self propelled mower
With my very limited knowledge of lawn mower repair, replacing the transmission to make the self propel feature work for the front wheels, was a fairly straightforward fix, not too difficult at all. Though a little pricey, the transmission from Sears Parts Direct works perfectly!

It was a perfect replacement part for my Craftsman lawnmower. I've had issues in the past with the wrong parts being shipped multiple times since Husqvarna took over the parts for Sears/Craftsman, but this time, the transmission part they sent was the right one and fit perfectly.

SELF DRIVE GEARBOX REPLACEMENT
REMOVALOF THE ORIGINAL GEARBOX WAS A PROBLEM WITH REMOVING THE PULLEY, OTHERWISE IT WAS NEARLY A PIECE OF CAKE, EXCEPT I PUT THE WHEEL HOLDERS ON BACKWARDS. EASY FIX... NOW IT REALLY PULLS GREAT.

The video sent did not go with the Craftsman mower that I own. The basic guidelines were there though along with safety. It took about two hours to complete the job, granted it took time, but a repair man quoted me 210 to fix and I bought the part for 85. So overall I feel good about the experience and the fact I did it myself too! Thanks Sears
