Wrong substitute part

The limit switch on my opener is a magnetic limit switch. When I attempted to order it a message indicated that this was the suggested substitute part, it is a limit switch with a lever on it. I assumed the original switch was no longer made. I don't know if this switch works or not because I couldn't even install it on the rail for my garage door. The base design is completely different from the original. I went back on line and found the correct part on a different site.
