Tips to follow when spraying paint with your Companion painting power tool

• Wear proper protective equipment such as protective clothing, gloves, eye protection, and respiratory protection when using the painting power tool.
• Follow the instructions in the owner's manual for properly setting up and using the painting power tool.
• Hold the spray gun perpendicular to the surface with the spray gun tip about 12-inches from the surface when applying paint to avoid uneven paint application.
• Move the spray gun at a steady, even pace when applying paint.

Clearing clogs in your Companion painting power tool

• For tools with a reversible tip, rotate the tip to the clean position.
• Point the spray gun in a safe direction and spray through the gun. That should clear the tip of any clogs.
• Rotate the tip back to the application spray position and continue applying the paint.
• If clogging continues or your gun doesn't have a reversible tip, clean or replace the spray gun filter.
• You may need to strain and/or thin the paint if clogging continues after cleaning or replacing the spray gun filter.
