I have a Kenmore Elite dishwasher. It is a very nice unit. Because it is a nice unit I decided to get it fixed instead of replacing it. I called Sears Service. The Sears technician identified the problem as a control module. He had one on his truck. I decided to have him repair it. The control module did not fix the problem. He continued to troubleshoot and determined it was the control module. He did not have one on his truck. One would need to be ordered. He could get it and return and repair it or I could order it and install it myself. The install is very simple. I decided to do the install myself. I used Sears Parts Direct to get the part. It did arrive a scheduled. But it did not fix the dishwasher. Now what? Did I get a bad part? Was the technician mistaken with the diagnosis? There is no way to reach out to Sears to discuss the situation. I could not find a repair number to discuss the service or my options. Should I return the part and get a new one? Should I have the technician back out to recheck the dishwasher? Was the control module the real problem from the start and the repair technician had a bad part?
Sears wants you to contact them if there is an issue. I agree and would contact them. What number is there? I reached out and all I got was a person to reschedule a service call and then they still want to charge me for a service call. Only half price though. Please provide the public and your customers with a good number to contact.
