Wally home monitoring starter kit (part number 43165) detects and alerts you about water leaks, changes in temperature and humidity, as well as open doors and windows.
Starter kit 43165 uses wireless technology to create a network of sensors around the home that let you monitor conditions and receive alerts through the Internet and your smartphone. Minimum smartphone requirements: iOS 8.1, Android 4.0.
The kit comes with one hub, 1 multi-sensor, 4 AA batteries, 2 AAA batteries, an Ethernet cable, wall power adapter, wall-mounting adhesive and contact magnet. Get additional Wally multi-sensors to monitor more areas of your home.

A few bumps in installation
Regardless of whether I tried ethernet or wifi, the process stalled for a while. I finally finished it off using ethernet.

Like tying your shoes
Just read and follow the simple instruction > plug in the router, connect to the ethernet, pull the strip from the sensor and go to the web site to name and activate > done. Could not have been simpler > and now increased peace of mind!
