Dryer Heating Element Assembly DC97-14486D

Our dryer stopped making heat. I have never touched or worked on an appliance before. After finding videos online I figured this was more than likely the cause of the no heat.

Surprisingly it was not hard to take off the back/front panels to the dryer.

Sure enough the heating element was broken. I ended up buying this entire assembly because I figured the two other parts associated with the element are 10+ years old so why not just completely replace the entire unit... (drop in).

Overall this was an easy install and very manageable for someone at home. Be careful with the edges though, they are sharp and I did end up cutting up my hand in places.

Removed the old burned-out unit and installed the new unit, connected the terminals and the dryer is back up and running. Thank You, Bob

One day my dryer stopped drying the clothes. So I opened it up and tested continuity on the heater assembly and sure enough the element went out. I could either replace the element for $145 or the sensor, fuse, and element for $150, so I bought this part. It fit perfectly, part worked right away and shipping was fast. Very happy to get the family dryer back up and running. Cheaper than a new dryer.

Perfect fit and fixed the issue. Much cheaper than a new dryer.

Easy to install, no need to put anything together as it came as one piece, and worked great.
