This wall control (part number 41A4884) is for garage door openers.
Wall control 41A4884 controls the motion of the door, as well as lighting and programming. It attaches to the garage wall beside the entry into the house. Wires connect it to the logic board on the motor unit.
Unplug the garage door opener before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.

It only took the time to disconnect the old unit and connect the new unit for my garage door to work from inside the garage again. Maybe a whole 10 minutes of time.

Thought this would fix my issue but didnt, was the wires in the wall that were damaged. But atleast now i have a new one and looks better on wall.

Older garage door opener: do your own research
Does the wall unit recommended by Sears work with older opener? Yes, very nicely. Can you program the remote? NO. The advice from the Sears rep could have been much better. I was able to find an alternate wall unit doing my own research.
