This idler lever for a residential washer applies and maintains tension on the drive belt as the motor shifts between wash or spin actions.
The idler lever can be used as a replacement part in some models of Crosley and Maytag top-loading washers.
When making this repair, replace the spin belt (part number 27001006) and idler pulley (part number 40045001) if inspections show those parts to be worn or damaged.
