Looks and works like new

My 2013 Maytag dishwasher suddenly stopped working ' the Control Lock light was lit, controls were unresponsive and no amount of troubleshooting made a difference. DIY website and videos indicated that replacing the control panel was the fix. Sears Parts were the only ones that had it in stock. Unfortunately there was no photograph on the site to confirm the part would be a match, but it was! Installation was a breeze ' took 20 minutes and two Torx screwdriver bits. When I turned the power back on, to my horror, the Control Lock light came on when I pressed the Start button, and none of the controls worked. But this time I held down the Control Lock button for 10 seconds, and Eureka! Smooth sailing ever since. Extremely satisfied and happy with my purchase.

Easy to install

My digital buttons were not working on our dishwasher. The repair person said it would cost approximately $500 to repair. Before replacing the dishwasher I went online to see if I could purchase the digital panel and install it myself. I found the part I needed on the Sears Parts website. The part arrived a week earlier than what the expected delivery date stated. This part was exactly the same as the OEM part that was defective. Installation was quick and easy. My dishwasher is running like brand new and I saved lots of money not having to replace the dishwasher.

Part was good, but...

The control panel has some engineering problems, the most serious is that the electronics inside this part will corrode over time due to the steam produced by dishwasher. Sealing the inner exposed parts with resin or dielectric grease would help mitigate that damage, I sealed the ribbon with clear silicone, and added dielectric grease to the connector making sure anything that could corrode was sealed. I would recommend anyone else with this part do the same to possibly make this part last longer than anything else in the dishwasher.
