No brainer installation
The part arrived when promised, always a plus! We had intermittent issues of the dishwasher not starting and after some research we narrowed it down to the switch in the latch. It took longer to remove the panel than it did the part itself. The new part just snapped in place and we reinstalled the panel and every thing has worked well since. After looking at the old latch we discovered that there was a small piece of plastic that had broken off of the spring assembly allowing the spring to shift position causing the issue. Don't call a repair person to fix this issue unless you want to pay 300 plus dollars. It took us only an hour out of our day on the weekend and the total cost was below 100 dollars.

Latch is easy to replace, includes switch
Simply remove the top 6 screws from the inside of the door panel to pull away the front control panel. The latch mechanism then lifts out, and there are 2 connectors that pull away from the latch switch. Push those connectors onto the new latch, drop it into place, and screw the control panel back on. A new switch is included and already installed in this replacement latch assembly. If you only need the switch it can be purchased separately, but if your dishwasher has years of use and your switch has failed, you may find the latch assembly and surrounding panel connectors have worn or broken from use as well -- especially if a failing switch was making you slam the door harder to try to force it to engage.
