the simple spring!

Deflector Shield on the 50" Deck seems a pretty simple part and straight forward assembly. Two items should be part of the repair process a diagram on how the spring is mounted on the deflector shield assembly and the special keeper that secures the rod after rod is inserted through the Deflector Shield, bracket end, spring, brackets other end and the other side of the Deflector shield. The old keeper is destroyed on disassembly and is hard to find retail.

Repair took a little longer than anticipated. Suggest taking a picture of how the spring is configured before taking old part off.

I had to use my cutting tool to cut away some of the old deflector to use the rod and tension spring on my new deflector so about 15 min all together.
