This connector assembly for a bottom-mount refrigerator consists of one metal piece and one plastic piece that form a support bracket for the right-side full-extension rail that supports the larger freezer basket. The connector minimizes the build-up of frost on the rail and also accepts the right-side basket cog that serves as a wheel for sliding the basket in and out.

The full extension rail must be ordered separately. To purchase an assembly that includes the rail and both the right-side and left-side connectors from PartsDirect, use part no. 5098JJ2002V.
Unplug the refrigerator before beginning to install the replacement connector assembly. Making the repair is moderately easy. You need standard hand tools to do the work, and you can leave the freezer door attached to the cabinet.
