Long wait for delivery
The switch is trivial to replace once the fan assembly has been opened. The design of the fan is likely the cause of the switch failure. Any airborne grease deposited on the switch arm is pressed into the microswitch itself when the fan goes up. It was grease in the microswitch that caused it to not detect when the fan had reached the proper "up" position. I am giving only two stars because of the big discrepancy between the initially promised delivery date and the actual delivery date.
