after removing broken knob by unscrewing, new part screwed on but did not push/pull to turn on/off washer.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
It's okay
The new knob fits the washing machine but it kind of slips when selecting the wash cycle. And it's ugly. It doesn't look like the other knobs on the machine, which have a little chrome accent. I guess it's functional enough, not great. I would say it was extremely overpriced for a piece of plain black plastic, but still cheaper than a repairman or a new machine. Sears Parts had the lowest price I could find online or locally, but the shipping charge was completely ridiculous for an item that probably weighs less than 3 ounces and fit in the mailbox.

Part won't work
Couldn't install because the Knob was a screw down rather than a push on. I had correct model number etc but Sears had a Knob which was supposed to fit but didn't.
