It wasn't that hard to replace. Take a photo of the board with the cover off. That way you can use that to help with attaching the wiring. It took me 25 minutes and the washer works fine

Success at replacing controller board

Washer suddenly stopped powering up. After some research I took a guess that it was a controller problem. Hardest part is removing connectors from failed board.

quick delivery/ bad advice

i replaced the electronic control panel in my washing machine. i troubleshot the problem and everything that i could find indicated that this was the problem. i put the new one in, double checked the winning and connections, triple check the wiring and connections, plugged it in and poof! smoke everywhere and new 220 dollar control panel was fried. i took the washing machine and the two dead control panels to the recycling center today and got ten dollars for them. i installed the new washer (not a kenmore) on friday and did the first load of laundry in it.

Took 35 minutes to install but then the washer didn't work. So he uninstalled the price. Put in the old one and then the washer worked again.
