difficult installation for a novice
It was impossible to remove the glued on face panel to get to the mounting screws without breaking the panel. Being an experienced electrical technician I was able to change the circuit board without changing the front circuit panel housing. Most people cannot do that and I'm aware that disassembling the components probably voided the warranty. Fortunately the circuit board was the problem and my dryer is working properly once again.

Back and working in less than an hour (Maytag)
A nearby lightning strike caused a surge where the dryer would not display the time or start. The diagnostics tests would not run with only the 'CO' error code displayed. Replaced both this board and the dryer control board and I am back and working again. The circuit board comes sandwiched in the hosing. I was unable to figure out how to replace the whole housing so I opted to remove the circuit board and reuse the old housing. Only 5 screws. After overnighting the parts, I was able to get my 7 year old Maytag Bravos dryer functioning again...quicker and easier than ordering a new one.
