Choose this manufacturer-approved air duct for your side-by-side refrigerator.

This air duct for a side-by-side refrigerator attaches to the ceiling of the freezer compartment to direct air blowing up from the evaporator to the damper, which sends chilled air into the refrigerator compartment. If the duct is blocked or missing, excess cold air will be trapped in the freezer and the fridge will be too warm.

  • The air duct can be used as a replacement part in Kenmore 106, Kenmore Elite 106 and Whirlpool two-door refrigerators. Consider replacing the two mounting screws (PartsDirect part no. 489478) that hold the duct in place at the same time as the duct.
  • You need standard hand tools to make the repair.
