Whirlpool EveryDrop water filter (part number EDR3RXD1) has NSF certifications 42, 53 and 401; it reduces lead and other metals; chlorine taste and odor; volatile organic compounds (VOCs); and some pesticides and pharmaceuticals.
EveryDrop water filter EDR3RXD1 fits select Kenmore, Whirlpool, Ikea, Inglis, JennAir, KitchenAid and Maytag side-by-side and bottom-freezer refrigerators.
Replace every 6 months, or more often if water flow slows noticeably.

Great service
Have been purchasing my filter for years from here and having the filters delivered to my door is great. Price is better if you get a subscription which you can cancel any time and change or skip deliveries if needed. Great service!!

Doesn't even last 2 months
Installed our fridge in February and have gone through 4 filters since then. Most recent one was installed September 25th and started out great (as they all have) but is no a trickle. Not even 2 months of use. I've never replaced filters this quickly in 20 years of owning fridges that require water filters.

supply of fllter not needed
I REMEMBER THAT I HAVNT PLACED ANY AUTO SUPPLY FOR THIS FILTER ORDER. IN ANY CASE DO NOT PLACE ANY SUPPLY SINCE I HAVE DISCARDED THE WHIRLPOOL FRIDEGE ITSELF. APPRECIATE WOULD GE T BACK THE FILTER IF IT S ABOUT TO BE DELIVERED AND REFUD THE AMOUNT ALREADY CHARGED TO MY BNAK A/C

Does not allow water flow
This filter has a very large flow resistance. It takes 10 minutes to fill a cup of water. The ice maker does work correctly because it does not fill completely. Expensive filter for what you get.

Quality is not the same
This filter is not the same quality as the previous ones - not sure what has changed but within weeks the flow rate started to diminish to the point that by the recommended replacement time, our water dispenser has basically become unusable. We are a 2 person household on a top-notch municipal water supply so water quality or excessive usage is definitely not a contributing factor. We will give the subscription service one more try and see if the issue continues with our next filter.
