New cable placement
You will need to push the old cable through the spring to expose a nut to be unscrewed. Before removing measure the distance from the nut to the end and screw on to new cable after pushing through the spring and attach to handle and drive lever or auger lever.

Clutch cable for Craftsman Snow Thrower
The cable was 3 inches too long causing me to make shift a spacer to shorten it. It was easier to modify it than to return it. The packaging was such to give me the impression it was crumbled up in the back of a mega rack for some years. Understandable since it's for a 20 year old snow thrower. Otherwise the cable was satisfactory.
