Dishwasher Control Panel and Overlay W10243228

Very helpful staff

I did my research, tested the fuse which seemed to be okay. Question was: is the problem in the control board or in push buttons? I disconnected flat cable to panel with buttons and closed dishwasher. Pump started running for half a minute which indicated the control board was fine. I ordered the new part from Sears which was 50% cheaper than other repair parts sites. After placing the order I checked a few days later and the order status showed part was out of stock. I contacted Sears via chat and a very helpful staff member contacted their out of stock team who confirmed part was out of stock and would contact manufacturer to find out estimated ship date. Next day I received email that part was shipped out directly from manufacturer and within 2 days I received the part. i took pictures of old panel connections, then disconnected wires and replaced the panel which was very easy. Reconnected all wires and mounted door panel. Turned on breaker and lights came on and push buttons worked as before. Easy fix and saved us the trouble of buying new dish washer. This was an ikea whirlpool, about 6 years old but very little use.
