Simple to install

The hardest part was getting the right part. Once I got it, installation was quick and easy. It took a while because I used it as an excuse to deep clean the stove

Can be done by a novice. Do your research. Be Safe

My unit required me to remove the oven door and two lower cover plates to gain access to the old igniter. The lower plates remove easily but, the door had to come off first. There are videos online that can help you to remove the oven door correctly. Oven door is heavy.

Fairly easy to installs, but not with older stoves

It took longer for me to install, because the two screws by which the igniter is attached to the gas were both frozen. One broke while being unscrewed and the other required vice grips to remove it. I had to drill new holes in the support and use bolts to hold it in place. If the range were newer, the attaching screws might have come out ok, but with a GE stove installed in 2007, much more work was required.

Good quality part

I replaced the over and the boiler igniters. And the wife is happy to have her gas range back operating.

Igniter Install

The connector melted on the original igniter. I had to pull the oven out and open the cover in the rear panel to hard wire the igniter using the wire nuts provided. No instructions provided.
