Same but different

The switch was the same, wiring harness fit just like the old one. BUT the pin that prevents the switch from moving around when the dial is moved was to long and didn't fit the original hole. No problem I say and drill a new hole directly above the old one. Now it fits just fine. UNTIL I operate the machine. Turns out the switch is two settings off. I need to remove the switch and drill a new hole to the left of the two old holes. Now it works just fine and the settings are correct. No more guessing at the settings.
