This transformer for a slide-in electric/gas range decreases the voltage of electricity flowing into the range.
Unplug the range before beginning to install the replacement transformer.
Making the repair requires removing the back panel of the range cabinet and the cooling fan. While taking out the fan and the old transformer, make note of where and how the wires are connected so you will know how to reattach them correctly.
