Saved a couple dollars with the OEM oa

It's an OEM part so it's just as weakly designed to last just long enough for you to feel like you got your money's worth. It was easy to install. Just make absolute sure you don't overtighten, even by a small amount. , or in my case... loosen. The threads and bolt used for the axle to secure the wheel, are very weak. Also a little life hack, is to put a user-bought washer about an 1/8' thick and 1.5-2' in diameter with the inner diameter just big enough to go onto the axle on the inside (towards engine) before you put on the wheel. This will snug up the already 'sloppy when new' wheel play, and keep a more even cut lawn. Do not, DO NOT OVERIGHTEN the nut-washer combo. I was using a 6' (smallest) sicker wrench and busted the bolt. Getting the broken bolt out of the nut is incredible diffficilt if you want to reuse it or save $8 buying a new nut along with the axle. Also, you do not need to buy the 'axle assembly'. That is this piece plus the handle to adjust, and the sprocket-gear-looking height notches plate. Craftsman used to be fantastic when it was made in the USA. They're holding on to the old reputation but selling more 'modern purpose' items. Sears Direct did save me a few dollars (seriously a couple dollars). It was on back order but. Got it in about ten business days.
