New control board brought dishwasher back to life

The estimated delivery date said 3 days, but took a week. Package arrived a bit squished, but ok. After 7 yrs 4 mos, my GE GDF610PGJ2BB dishwasher quit, acting like the door was open, just 3 beeps. Holding the Cycle+Start buttons about 5 seconds for self-test all lights flashed with door open OR closed (should all light steady with door closed). After I verified the door switch up top was ok, I lowered the main controller board and could see the diode on it would not light. I couldn't see anything obviously bad about the old board, but what I found about that online seemed to indicate a bad board. Taking roughly a $130+ gamble to try a new board paid off. It was a perfect swap & now works like new again. This new main control board has slightly newer software version which behaves slightly better too.

My GE washer would not longer power on. After some research primary suspect was the control board. Part worked as expected. Only difficulties I had was Sears' website failing to complete my order the first time, me restarting the order, the first order not showing up in my account, and getting double billed. Sears' support made it easy to report the issue and get a return label. Refund turnaround was fast but it was the wrong amount. The refund was short so I had to call again to report it and get a refund for the missing amount. Again easy fix and no hassle from the support agent. I'd still recommend Sears parts direct with a caveat.
