Be warned. Package say 2 items,but only one sent
Be warned. Package say 2 items,but only one sent. Sears did send out a second bearing at now cost, but it took 10 days over all. On a good note, These USA made bearing are much better quality than the china imports. The USA made have 10 ball bearings and a nylon wheel. The China made bearing are only 6 ball bearing and a weak plastic wheel. Average DIY skill level needed. The installation requires removing the compactor from the cabinet. The full face panel must be removed. Be warned that there are 2 screws under the on-off dial on some models. The nuts that hold the bearing are 5/8" or 15mm. You really need a socket/ratchet with extension to get the nuts on and off.

Works great now.
Had to remove the entire outer frame to replace. Took longer to do that than replace the bearings. Went ahead and cleaned the entire unit while it was off though. Thx

got rid of the "bump bump bump"
Somehow one wheel in my trash compactor drawer got a flat spot. It was annoying to hear the noise when opening or closing. The drawer works smoothly now.
